Abstract

NOVILIA JUNIANTI SARAGIH: The Influence of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create Learning Model Using Canva on Students' Critical Mathematical Thinking Skills. Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP, Malikussaleh University, 2025. This study was conducted based on the low mathematical critical thinking skills of students, causing students to have difficulty solving problems related to critical thinking. Based on this, a solution is provided by implementing the read, answer, discuss, explain, and create learning model using Canva to determine the effect of students' mathematical critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the read, answer, discuss, explain, and create learning model using Canva which is significantly better than using the conventional model. The type of research used is a quasi experiment and uses a nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. This research was conducted in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Makmur in the even semester. The data collection technique used in the study was a test instrumen for students' critical thinking skills given before and after learning. The sample in this study were students of class X-1 as the experimental class and class X-3 as the control class. Based on the results of the calculation using the Mann Whitney U non-parametric test analysis for students' mathematical critical thinking skills data, it was obtained 0.695, from the significant results of the statistical data is 0.695 > 0.05 then is accepted. Therefore, there is no difference in the average pretest of students' critical mathematical thinking skills using the read, answer, discuss, explain, and create learning model using Canva against students' critical mathematical thinking skills taught using the conventional learning model. While in the t-test of the posttest data, the assumption of both variances will be used (equal variance assumed). The significance level of the calculation is 0.000 which is less than 0.05 (p <0.05). This means that is rejected and is accepted. Based on this description, the results of the study indicate that there is an influence of the read, answer, discuss, explain, and create learning model using Canva on students' critical mathematical thinking skills.
