Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini meneliti tentang potensi air terjun SKPC di Kota Subulussalam, Aceh. Pertanyaan utama yang ingin dijawab dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana air terjun SKPC dikelola, dan melihat strategi pengelola untuk menarik pengunjung untuk datang. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Strukturasi dari Giddens. Perspektif ini menempatkan hubungan kekuasaan agen dengan struktur bersifat dualitas, yaitu keduanya tidak dapat dipisahkan, melainkan merupakan dua sisi dari satu mata uang yang saling berhubungan. Semua sosial action melibatkan sosial actor, dan keduanya begitu terkait erat dalam aktivitas atas practice manusia secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi air terjun SKPC di Kota Subulussalam dikelola secara pariwisata memiliki potensi alami air yang jernih, sejuk, serta masih asri, potensi strategis seperti letak dekat kota dan potensi lingkungan bersih,aman serta nyaman. Strategi pengelola objek wisata untuk menarik pengunjung dilakukan dengan mengaktifkan promosi di media sosial serta melengkapi fasilitas yang ada di area wisata dengan kondisi kekinian. Serta alasan pengunjung untuk datang ke lokasi pariwisata ini adalah karena keindahan yang dimiliki oleh air terun ini, fasilitas penunjang yang ada sudah memadai, serta biaya yang dikeluarkan tidak mahal. Kata Kunci: Wisatawan, Air Terjun SKPC, Strategi, dan Potensi ABSTRACT This thesis examines the potential of the SKPC waterfall in Subulussalam City, Aceh. The main question to be answered in this research is how the SKPC waterfall is managed, and to explore the management strategies to attract visitors. The theoretical framework used in this study is Giddens' Theory of Structuration. This perspective considers the relationship between agency and structure as a duality, meaning they cannot be separated but are two sides of the same coin that are interrelated. All social actions involve social actors, and they are closely intertwined in human activities on an ongoing basis. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involves data collection, data processing, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this research indicate that the potential of the SKPC waterfall in Subulussalam City, managed as a tourist attraction, includes the natural potential of clear, cool, and pristine water, as well as strategic potential such as its proximity to the city and the clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The management strategy for attracting visitors to the tourist attraction includes activating promotions on social media and enhancing existing facilities in the tourist area to meet contemporary standards. The reasons for visitors to come to this tourism destination are the beauty of the waterfall, adequate supporting facilities, and reasonable costs.
