Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa indonesia berdasarkan hasil PISA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berkonteks Sosio Scoientific Issue (SSI) terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi sistem koloid . penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 7 Bireuen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif pre eksperimental design. Sampel yang diambil secara purposive sampling, sehingga dieperoleh 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing sebanyak 20 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes soal literasi yang terdiri dari 15 soal essay. Data diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji independen sampel t-test. Hasil uji sampel t-test menunjukkan nilai sig <0.05 pada taraf signifikan 5% maka H0 ditolak. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model PBL berkonteks SSI terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi sistem koloid. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Socio Scientifik Issue (SSI), Kemampuan Literasi Sains. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students based on the results of PISA. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the Socio-Science Issue (SSI) context on students' scientific literacy skills on the colloidal system material. This research was conducted at MAN 7 Bireuen. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA. The method used in this study is quantitative pre-experimental design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling, so that 2 classes were obtained, namely class XI IPA 1 and class XI IPA 2 as experimental and control classes with a total of 20 students each. Data were collected using a literacy test instrument consisting of 15 essay questions. The data obtained were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results of the sample t-test showed a sig value <0.05 at a significance level of 5%, so H0 was rejected. These results indicate that there is no significant effect of the PBL model with the SSI context on students' scientific literacy skills on the colloidal system material.
