Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran perilaku phubbing pada guru sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di Kota Lhokseumawe. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk membuat suatu gambaran deskripsi atau gambaran secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat. Data diperoleh melalui kuisioner " perilaku phubbing pada guru". Populasi dari penelitian ini ialah seluruh sekolah menengah atas (SMA) yang ada di kota lhokseumawe dengan jumlah 610 guru. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 247 guru yang di perolah berdasarkan metode nonprobability sampling dengan teknik sampling kuota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru yang ada di sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di Kota Lhokseumawe memiliki perilaku phubbing yang tinggi yaitu yang berkisar di angka (49,8%). Artinya guru SMA di Kota lhokseumawe ditemukan memiliki perilaku phubbing tinggi, dimana phubbing adalah sikap mengabaikan seseorang karena terlalu fokus atau terlalu sibuk dengan smartphone sehingga dapat mengabaikan seseorang yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya. Perilaku phubbing tersebut didapatkan pada sebagian besar guru SMA di Kota Lhokseumawe dimana guru cenderung sering menggunakan smartphone saat berinteraksi dengan rekan kerja ataupun siswanya, sehingga dapat mengganggu efektivitas komunikasi dalam lingkungan pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Perilaku Phubbing, Guru ABSTRACT This study aims to obtain a description of phubbing behavior in high school teachers (SMA) in Lhokseumawe City. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive analysis which aims to create a systematic, factual and accurate description or picture. Data were obtained through a questionnaire "phubbing behavior in teachers". The population of this study was all high schools (SMA) in Lhokseumawe City with a total of 610 teachers. The sample in this study amounted to 247 teachers obtained based on the nonprobability sampling method with quota sampling technique. The results showed that teachers in high schools (SMA) in Lhokseumawe City had high phubbing behavior, which was around (49.8%). This means that high school teachers in Lhokseumawe City were found to have high phubbing behavior, where phubbing is an attitude of ignoring someone because they are too focused or too busy with their smartphones so that they can ignore someone in their surroundings. Phubbing behavior is found in most high school teachers in Lhokseumawe City where teachers tend to use smartphones frequently when interacting with colleagues or students, which can interfere with the effectiveness of communication in the educational environment.
