Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence cabbage production in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency and to analyze input changes caused by changes in output used by farmers based on the coefficients of the independent variables. This research was conducted in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, to be precise in Central Kuta Village and Linggajulu Village. The data analysis method used is the Cobb-Douglas function model with multiple linear regression methods. The results of this study are simultaneously variable factors of land area (X1), seeds (X2), labor (X3), fertilizers (X5), and pesticides (X6) have a significant effect on cabbage production in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency. Partially the variables of land area (XI), seeds (X2), and pesticides (X6) have a significant effect on the production of cabbage production in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency. Meanwhile, labor (X3) and fertilizer (X5) had no significant effect on the production of cabbage production in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency.
