Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in Gampong Geulanggang Meunjee, Kuta Blang District, Bireuen Regency, precisely at the broiler farm business of Mr Mutaqqin. Based on the background, the research was conducted because the production of broilers is inseparable from several obstacles experienced by the broiler farming business. As for some things that can be an obstacle in running the broiler farming business, such as lighting systems, limited capital, land, seeds, feed, water, cleanliness, and chicken diseases, some of these obstacles can actually directly affect the income of farmers as well as chicken deaths caused by chicken diseases and poor quality seeds. This study aims to analyse the income earned by chicken farming businesses and to find out what constraints are faced by broiler farming businesses (case study: Mr Mutaqqin's business). The data analysis method uses income analysis and qualitative descriptive. The types of data in this study are quantitative and qualitative data. The data sources in this study are primary and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that with the total costs incurred in the broiler farming business during one production process of Rp.193,895,129 with the acquisition of revenue of Rp.224,415,230 so that the profit obtained is Rp.30,520,101, the open house system broiler farming business with a production of 4,886 heads is feasible to develop. It is known from the results of the business feasibility test using RC Ratio analysis of 1.15 and as for the identification of the constraints of Mr Mutaqqin's broiler farming business are disease, capital, environmental conditions, water, and seeds.
