Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang Persepsi Gen Z terhadap Calon Legislatif Milenial pada pemilu 2024, hasil pemilu 2024 menunjukkan 9 orang anggota legislatif terpilih di Kota Lhokseumawe yang merupakan Caleg Milenial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Persepsi Gen Z terhadap partai politik di Kota Lhokseumawe yaitu Gen Z Percaya Terhadap Partai Politik, Kepercayaan Gen Z terhadap partai politik sangat bergantung pada sejauh mana partai tersebut mampu relevan dengan kebutuhan dan nilai - nilai mereka. Partai Politik Sebagai Wadah Aspirasi, bagi gen Z partai politik merupakan tempat menampungnya aspirasi bagi masyarakat termasuk gen Z ada di dalamnya. Partai Politik Sebagai Pengendali Konflik, partai politik memiliki peranan besar terhadap segala sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan pemerintahan dan kebijakannya. Partai Politik Sebagai Jembatan Masyarakat, Menurut gen Z partai politik Memiliki amanah sebagai jembatan antara aspirasi yang disampaikan oleh masyarakat yang akan disalurkan kepada pemerintahan diharapkan agar suara mereka didengar. Persepsi Gen Z Terhadap Caleg Milenial yaitu Harapan akan Inovasi dan Perubahan, Gen Z memiliki harapan besar bahwa caleg milenial yang mereka pilih mampu membawa inovasi dan perubahan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. Mereka berharap caleg milenial tidak hanya memahami isu-isu yang dekat dengan generasi muda, seperti digitalisasi, pendidikan, dan keberlanjutan, tetapi juga memiliki keberanian untuk mendobrak pola politik tradisional. Riset Mendalam tentang Caleg yang mereka Dukung, visi dan misi merupakan hal yang harus disampaikan dengan baik oleh caleg milenial. Dikarenakan gen Z menganggap bahwa visi dan misi merupakan hal yang penting dalam memilih para calon legislatif yang nantinya yang akan memimpin dan mendengarkan suara rakyat termasuk gen Z di dalamnya. Keterhubungan Melalui Media Sosial, bahwa Caleg milenial yang memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana untuk terhubung dengan pemilih Gen Z dapat memperoleh keuntungan signifikan dalam membangun hubungan yang lebih personal dan langsung. Kata Kunci : Persepsi, Gen Z dan Caleg Milenialviii ABSTRACT This thesis examines the Perception of Gen Z towards Millennial Legislative Candidates in the 2024 election, the results of the 2024 election show 9 elected legislative members in Lhokseumawe City who are Millennial Candidates. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation. Gen Z's perception of political parties in Lhokseumawe City is that Gen Z Believes in Political Parties, Gen Z's trust in political parties is highly dependent on the extent to which the party is able to be relevant to their needs and values. Political Parties as a Container of Aspirations, for Gen Z, political parties are a place to accommodate aspirations for the community, including Gen Z in it. Political Parties As Conflict Controllers, political parties have a big role in everything related to the government and its policies. Political Parties as a Bridge to the Community, According to Gen Z Political parties have a mandate as a bridge between the aspirations conveyed by the community that will be channeled to the government, it is hoped that their voices will be heard. Gen Z's Perception of Millennial Candidates is Expectation of Innovation and Change, Gen Z has great hopes that the millennial candidates they choose are able to bring innovation and change that are relevant to the needs of the times. They hope that millennial candidates will not only understand issues that are close to the younger generation, such as digitalization, education, and sustainability, but also have the courage to break traditional political patterns. In-depth research on the candidates they support, vision and mission are things that must be conveyed well by millennial candidates. Because Gen Z considers that vision and mission are important in choosing legislative candidates who will lead and listen to the voice of the people, including Gen Z in it. Connectivity Through Social Media, millennial candidates who use social media as a means to connect with Gen Z voters can gain significant benefits in building more personal and direct relationships.
