Abstract
ABSTRACT Glutinous corn (Zea mays ceratina) is one type of corn that has the potential to be developed by farmers as a source of food diversification and industrial materials because the protein, fat and carbohydrate content of glutinous corn seeds are very adequate for development as food. However, glutinous corn is still less popular, especially in urban communities because it is less promoted and has not received serious attention to be developed. This study aims to determine the physiological response and yield components of several varieties of glutinous corn (Zea mays ceratina) to the application of compound fertilizer (NPK). This research was conducted using the experimental method of Randomized Group Design (RAK) with 2 factors, namely: Variety factor (V) glutinous corn consists of 4 levels, namely: V1 (Kumala Variety), V2 (Arumba Variety), V3 (Victoria Variety), V4 (Rasanya Variety) and Fertilizer Dosage Factor (N) consists of 3 levels namely; N0 (Control), N1 (4.5 grams/plant), N2 (6 g/plant). The results showed that the best variety treatment was found in the Rasanya variety. In the provision of NPK compound fertilizer dosage, the best treatment was found in the provision of NPK compound fertilizer dosage of 6 g/plant. The interaction between the provision of varieties and NPK compound fertilizer on the relative growth rate variable at the age of 14 HST in the provision of varieties and 6 grams/plant.
