Abstract
Indonesia is one of the largest shrimp producing countries in the world with its superior commodity, namely vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). This shrimp is the main export commodity for fishery products which has the highest export value. In 2017, the value of shrimp exports in Indonesia reached 1,590.60 (USD Million). Aquatic productivity is the rate of anchorage or storage of energy (sunlight) by the autotroph community in an aquatic ecosystem. Phytoplankton is a group of aquatic biota in the form of plants and animals that live or float passively on the surface of waters, and their movement and distribution is influenced by current movements. The research was carried out on 18 December 2022- 01 January 2023. In intensive vaname shrimp ponds in Gelumpang village, West Sulu, Dewantara sub-district, North Aceh district. The method used in this research was a survey method using sampling techniques. Carried out for three weeks, with intervals once a week, in intensive vaname shrimp ponds. The data used in this research regarding the relationship between aquatic productivity and phytoplankton using Linear Regression is presented with a line or curve. Data from research on the highest clean water productivity in intensive vaname shrimp ponds at sampling point 1 was 39.05 mg/C/m3. The highest abundance in intensive vaname shrimp ponds at sampling 1 was 1,863 Cell/L. Keywords: Phytoplankton, Productivity, Vaname shrimp
