Abstract

This research was conducted at the Pesisir Nauli Salted Fish Business in Pasar Belakang Village, Sibolga City, North Sumatra Province. This study aims to determine the Development Strategy of the Pesisir Nauli Salted Fish Business in Pasar Belakang Village, Sibolga City, North Sumatra Province. The data analysis method used is the SWOT data analysis method. The results of this study indicate that this business is in quadrant 1 position of aggressive strategy or SO strategy, with a strength and weakness value of 1.32 and opportunities and threats of 1.10 which is a very favorable situation and means that this nauli coastal salted fish business has the strength to take advantage of existing opportunities. The alternative development strategies that can be used are (1) Utilizing a strategic business location so that tourists are easy to get salted fish souvenirs and the experience of business owners whose loyalty is able to retain customers (2) Improve product quality and keep prices affordable to retain existing customers and attract new customers through effective promotional strategies (3) Utilizing a skilled workforce to increase production so that increased consumer demand is met.
