Abstract

ABSTRACT Land kale is a short-lived vegetable. Seeds that are stored for a long period of time will increase the rate of seed rot. Using seeds that exceed the recommended time limit will reduce germination and increase the number of abnormal seedlings. One effort that can be made to increase the viability of expired seeds is by treating them using growth regulators, namely by soaking the seeds. Providing liquid organic fertilizer can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil and has complete nutritional elements. One of them is the use of cow urine. This research will be conducted in Sawang, Sawang District, North Aceh, in March to April 2024. This research used the Randomized Group Design (RBD) method with two factors repeated 3 times. The results of the research showed that cow urine treatment had a more significant effect on the growth parameters and yields of kale plants compared to the variety treatment. The interaction between the treatment of giving cow urine POC and the type of kale variety has an effect on the number of leaves and stem diameter at 14 days after planting.
