Abstract

Kata Kunci : Daun kersen, Daya Tetas Telur, Jamur Saprolegnia dan Udang vaname ABSTRACT Vaname shrimp is a fishery commodity that has high economic value and market demand. Things that affect the number of eggs not hatching or dying can also be caused by the eggs being attacked by fungus, making it difficult for the embryo to develop and causing failure in egg hatching. The use of natural ingredients in handling microbial attacks is considered safer and environmentally friendly because the ingredients are easily decomposed in water. An alternative natural ingredient that can be used to prevent eggs from being attacked by fungi is cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura L.). This study aims to test the effectiveness of administering cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura L.) as an inhibitor of fungal development on the hatchability of vaname shrimp eggs. This research was carried out on October 27 – November 16 at PT. Swadaya Mitra Perkasa, Ujong Blang Aron Village, Kuala District, Bireun Regency. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This study consisted of 6 treatments and 3 repetitions, namely, treatment A (Control), treatment B (0.1 ml/L) cherry leaf extract, treatment C (0.25 ml/L) cherry leaf extract, Treatment D (0 .5 ml/L) cherry leaf extract, treatment E (0.75 ml/L) cherry leaf extract and Treatment F (1 ml/L) cherry leaf extract. Statistical analysis of the F test (ANOVA) showed that administration of cherry leaf extract at different doses had a significant effect on the percentage of fungal attack, percentage of resistance to fungal attack, egg hatchability and survival rate of vaname shrimp larvae, but had no significant effect on the increase in length of shrimp larvae. vaname. The highest egg hatchability value was found in treatment D (0.5 ml/L) 85.93% and the highest larval survival rate was found in treatment D (0.5 ml/L) 94.79%.
