Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh penambahan hormon tiroksin serta mendapatkan konsentrasi hormon tiroksin yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada benih ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer). Penelitian dilakukan selama 28 hari menggunakan benih ikan kakap putih berukuran 5-7 cm, dengan ukuran wadah 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm dan padat tebar 10 ekor ikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yaitu, P0: tanpa hormon tiroksin (kontrol), P1: konsentrasi hormon tiroksin 0,5 mg/kg, P2: konsentrasi hormon tiroksin 0,6 mg/kg, P3: konsentrasi hormon 0,7 mg/kg. Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan, rasio konversi pakan (FCR) dan survival rate (SR). Data yang diperoleh dianalisa sidik ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi penambahan hormon tiroksin pada pakan komersil dapat mempengaruhi semua parameter penelitian. Pemberian hormon tiroksin dengan konsentrasi 0,6 mg/kg (P2) merupakan konsentrasi terbaik karena memberikan pertumbuhan bobot sebesar 2,74 g, pertambahan panjang sebesar 1,80 cm, Rasio konversi pakan (FCR) 1,62 dan kelangsungan hidup 76,66%. Kata Kunci: Hormon, pakan, kakap putih, pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of the addition of thyroxine hormone and obtain the concentration of thyroxine hormone that can have the best effect on white snapper fry (Lates calcarifer). The research was carried out for 28 days using white snapper fry measuring 5-7 cm, with a container size of 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm and a dense stocking of 10 fish. The method used was an experimental method using a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replicates, namely, P0: no thyroxine hormone (control), P1: thyroxine hormone concentration 0.5 mg/kg, P2: thyroxine hormone concentration 0.6 mg/kg, P3: hormone concentration 0.7 mg/kg. The research parameters observed were growth, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and survival rate (SR). The data obtained was analyzed by multiple fingerprints (ANOVA). The results showed that the difference in the concentration of thyroxine hormone addition in commercial feed could affect all research parameters. The administration of thyroxine hormone with a concentration of 0.6 mg/kg (P2) was the best concentration because it provided weight growth of 2.74 g, length increase of 1.80 cm, feed conversion ratio (FCR) of 1.62 and survival of 76.66%.
