Abstract

Tin or fig is a type of fruit-bearing plant that can be consumed and is a domesticated plant that can grow in Indonesia. Tin plants have properties in healing various diseases and can be used as herbal medicines. The original habitat of tin plants in subtropical climates but there are several varieties of tin plants that can grow in the tropics. However, tin plants in Indonesia have not been widely developed because it is difficult to pollinate requiring special insects for pollination, so the data for tin plant production has not been accurately explained.H. The purpose of this study was to find out the length of soaking and the right concentration of coconut water and good growth on tin plant cuttings. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University, from April to May 2024. The research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications. The first factor is the soaking time consisting of L0 (control), L1 (6 hours soaking time), L2 (12 hours soaking time). The second factor is the concentration of coconut water consisting of K0 (control), K1 (25% concentration), K2 (50% concentration). Therefore, there are 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications, resulting in 27 experimental units. The results showed that the treatment of L1 (6 hours soaking time) singly significantly influenced the variables of days of shoot emergence, shoot length at 10-60 DAP, number of leaves at 10-60 DAP shoot diameter at 10-50 DAP, root length at 60 DAP, percentage of live cuttings. The second factor K2 treatment (50% concentration) had a significant effect on the variable days of shoot emergence, shoot length at 10-60 DAP, number of leaves at 10-60 DAP, shoot diameter at 10-50 DAP, root length at 60 DAP, percentage live cuttings.
