Abstract

ABSTRACT Evaluation of soil fertility status to assess and monitor soil fertility is very important in order to find out which nutrients are a constraint for plants. Assessment of soil fertility status evaluation can be done through a soil test approach where assessment using this method is relatively more accurate and fast. The high and low productivity of paddy rice is influenced by the soil's ability to provide nutrients for plants in an effort to increase the optimal production of paddy rice. This study was conducted at 12 sampling points in six sub-districts in Aceh Utara District, namely: Langkahan, Tanah Jambo Aye, Danda Baro, Sawang and Muara Batu. This research was conducted from February to March 2024. The method used in this research consists of: (1) preparation stage, (2) preliminary survey, (3) main survey, (4) data analysis and presentation of results. The results of the study evaluated the status of soil fertility in rice paddy fields in Aceh Utara district, which is low. Where the value of cation exchange capacity in each type of paddy rice productivity in Aceh Utara District has medium to high criteria, namely 17.73-39.48cmol(c)/kg, the value of base saturation in each type of paddy rice productivity in Aceh Utara District has very low to low criteria, around 17.64-33.34%, P2O5 (HCl 25%) value in each type of paddy rice productivity in Aceh Utara District has low to very high criteria of 16.23-67.75mg/100g, K2O (HCl 25%) value in each type of paddy rice productivity in Aceh Utara District has medium to very high criteria of 29.95-114.3mg/100g and C-Organic value in each type of paddy rice productivity in Aceh Utara District has low to medium criteria of 1.14-2.25%.
