Abstract

Celery (Apium graveolens L.) is an important vegetable crop and has export value. The demand for celery is increasing. One way to increase the yield and quality of celery plants is by applying fertilizer, such as liquid organic fertilizer (POC) rice washing water and NPK inorganic fertilizer. This research was entitled the Growth and yield of celery plants due to giving POC rice washing water and NPK fertilizer. This research was conducted in Gampong Reuleut Barat, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency. The research was conducted out from January to March 2024. This research used Randomized Block Design method, two factors with 3 replication. The first factor was rice washing water POC (B) which consisted of 0 ml/L (B0), 50 ml/L (B1), 100 ml/L (B2) and 150 ml/L (B3). The second factor was NPK fertilizer at the dose of 0 g/polybag (N0), 2 g/polybag (N1), 4 g/polybag (N2) The result showed that POC rice washing water treatment affected plant heigh, number of leaves and number of stalks aged 4 to 8 weeks after planting, number of tillers, wet weight, wet weight consumed, root volume and production ton/ha. The best treatment was giving POC with a concentration of 150 ml/L (B3). NPK fertilizer affected plant height , number of leaves and number of stalks aged 2 to 8 weeks after planting, number of tillers, wet weight, wet weight consumed, root volume and production ton/ha. The best treatment was NPK fertilizer at the dose of 4 g/polybag (N2). There was an interaction between POC treatment of rice washing water and NPK fertilizer on plant height, number of leaves, number of stalks and number of tillers. The best treatment was POC rice washing water 150 ml/L and NPK fertilizer 4 gr/polybag (B3N2). Keywords : fertilizer, dose, concentration
