Abstract

Impact is a collision, an influence that has both positive and negative consequences. The impact of the existence of the Rajawali factory can be in the form of positive impacts and negative impacts. The positive and negative impacts of the existence of industry will cause changes in society, both socio-economic conditions and cultural conditions. The impact of the existence of this industry can cause changes in society, both socio-economic conditions and cultural conditions of the community around the industrial area. This research focuses on five indicators, namely education, livelihood, income, health and community environment. The socio-economic conditions of the community can ideally improve with industrial development, as according to Suratmo (Siska, 2013) that the development of a project from the time it is planned is indeed aimed at improving for the community. Industry is a business or activity that processes raw so it becomes finished goods, finished goods that have added value to make a profit. The aim of this research is to determine the impact that sugar factories have on the community in Ketol sub-district, Central Aceh district. The aspect studied is that problems can be formulated regarding the impact of the existence of the Rajawali factory on the community in Ketol District, Central Aceh Regency. using a qualitative descriptive research approach with data analysis techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. It can be seen that the income of working people is very affected, because before the existence of the Rawajali factory, people's income was very unstable, but since working at the Rawali factory, the income of working people has increased. So it can help the economy of the people who work at the Rajawali factory. The effects caused by the factory's activities are t on waste from sugar cane bagasse, the Rajawali factory dumps the dregs where this dregs can still be used as a fuel for burning and is also used by the community to cover potholes on roads and some are still buried. However, liquid waste from the Rajawali factory immediately dumps the waste into the river behind the Rajawali factory, so it has the potential to damage the environment around the community.
