Abstract

ABSTRACT SUCI HAFNI: Neologisms in the Comment Section of the TikTok Account @abunbarbar. Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Malikussaleh University, 2026. This study aims to describe the types and the processes of neologism formation in the comment section of the TikTok account @abunbarbar. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source was TikTok, particularly the comment section of the @abunbarbar account. The data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings show that there are four types of neologisms: morphosemantic, semantic, morphological, and loanword neologisms. Morphological was the most dominant type. The processes of neologism formation include morphological and semantic aspects. Abbreviation was the most dominant process in the morphological aspect, while semantic extension was the most dominant process in the semantic aspect. Keywords: Neologism, TikTok, Abun barbar
