Abstract
ABSTRAK LATIFAH HANUM BR PANDIA: Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Reading, Questioning, And Answering (RQA) Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Sains Peserta Didik Dalam Pembelajaran Fisika. Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Reading, Questioning, And Answering (RQA) Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Sains Peserta Didik dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimental dengan bentuk desain nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Nisam yang melibatkan siswa kelas VIII. Sampel penelitian melibatkan dua kelas di SMP Negeri 1 Nisam, masing - masing terdiri atas 32 siswa kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 32 siswa kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperiemn menerapkan model pembelajaran Reading, Questioning, And Answering (RQA). Sedangkan kelas kontrol menerapkan model pembelejaran Discovery Learning dengan Metode Ceramah. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis. Sedangkan instrumen dari penelitian ini adalah soal pre-test dan post-test berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda pada materi usaha, energi dan pesawat sederhana. Perolehan nilai rata-rata pretest pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 36,25 pada kategori kurang, sementara rata-rata perolehan pretest kelas kontrol yaitu 37,18 pada kategori kurang. Sedangkan untuk perolehan rata-rata posttest di kelas eksperimen yaitu 73,75 pada kategori baik dan rata-rata posttest di kelas kontrol yaitu 62,18 pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil data uji statistik menggunakan uji statistik parametrik menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test diperoleh hasil sig(2-tailed) adalah 0,001< 0,05 yang artinya ditolak dan diterima, bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan literasi sains siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Reading, Questioning, And Answering (RQA) dengan kelas yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning dengan Metode ceramah. Physics Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Malikussaleh University, 2026. This study aims to determine the effect of the Reading, Questioning, and Answering (RQA) learning model on students‘ science literacy skills in physics instruction. This study is a quantitative, quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Nisam and involved eighth-grade students. The sample consisted of two classes at SMP Negeri 1 Nisam: Class VIII-A (the experimental class), comprising 32 students, and Class VIII-B (the control class), comprising 32 students. Class VIIIA, as the experimental class, implemented the Reading, Questioning, and Answering (RQA) learning model. Meanwhile, the control class implemented the Discovery Learning model using the lecture method. The data collection technique used in this study was a written test. The research instruments consisted of pre-test and post-test questions, each comprising 20 multiple-choice questions on the topics of work, energy, and simple machines. The average pretest score in the experimental class was 36.25, falling into the ―below average‖ category, while the average pretest score in the control class was 37.18, also falling into the ―below average‖ category. Meanwhile, the average posttest score in the experimental class was 73.75, falling into the ―good‖ category, and the average posttest score in the control class was 62.18, also falling into the ―good‖ category. Based on the results of the statistical analysis using a parametric test—specifically the Independent Samples t-test test, the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.001 < 0.05, which means that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted—that is, there is a significant difference in students‘ science literacy skills between the class using the Reading, Questioning, and Answering (RQA) learning model and the class using the Discovery Learning model with the lecture method.
