Abstract
ABSTRAK Udang vaname (Litopenaues vannamei) adalah salah satu spesies udang yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Udang vaname memiliki beberapa keunggulan dibandingkan udang jenis lain. Kondisi lingkungan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan larva udang vanamei, salah satunya adalah cahaya, karena udang baru akan bertingkah laku mencari makan (ingesti) jika reseptor yang ada di mata menangkap keadaan sekeliling yang sudah mulai gelap. Udang vaname merupakan hewan nokturnal, sehingga pertumbuhannya di ruang yang sedikit cahaya akan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan ruang yang terang, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas cahaya terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup post larva udang vaname. Hewan uji yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah post larva udang vaname (PL-10). Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan pada penelitian adalah kontrol, cahaya 10 lux, cahaya 15 lux, cahaya 20 lux, dan cahaya 25 lux. Parameter dalam penelitian meliputi pertumbuhan panjang, pertumbuhan bobot, laju pertumbuhan harian, kelangsungan hidup, rasio konversi pakan dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa perlakuan dengan intensitas cahaya 15 lux menghasilkan nilai terbaik, yaitu nilai panjang 7,95 cm, bobot 2,65 gr, laju pertumbuhan harian 7,45%, kelangsungan hidup 86,66%, nilai rasio konversi pakan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan 25 lux dengan nilai 1,71. Kata kunci : Udang vaname, Intensitas cahaya,Pertumbuhan, dan Kelangsungan hidup ABSTRACT Vaname shrimp (Litopenaues vannamei) is a species of shrimp that has high economic value. Vaname shrimp have several advantages compared to other types of shrimp. Environmental conditions influence the growth of vanamei shrimp larvae, one of which is light, because the new shrimp will act in search of food (ingestion) if the receptors in their eyes detect the surroundings which are starting to get dark. Vaname shrimp are nocturnal animals, so their growth in a room with little light will be better than in a bright room. This research was conducted to determine the effect of light intensity on the growth and survival of white vaname shrimp larvae. The test animal used in this research was post larvae of vaname shrimp (PL-10). The treatments given in the study were control, 10 lux light, 15 lux light, 20 lux light, and 25 lux light. Parameters in the study included length growth, weight growth, daily growth rate, survival, feed conversion ratio and water quality. The results of this study showed that treatment with a light intensity of 15 lux produced the best values, namely length 7.95 cm, weight 2.65 gr, daily growth rate 7.45%, survival 86.66%, the best feed conversion ratio value was found in the 25 lux treatment with a value of 1.71.
