Abstract

ABSTRACT Jernang is one type of rattan plant that has a high commercial value in the sap that coats the fruit skin. Pase Sentosa Village, Simpang Keuramat District, North Aceh Regency is a potential area for the development of jernang cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the prospects of jernang farming development in Pase Sentosa Village in terms of technical and financial aspects. This research was conducted in Pase Sentosa Village, Simpang Keuramat District, North Aceh Regency using the survey method. Data were analyzed using descriptive methods to review technical aspects and investment criteria for financial aspects. The results showed that: (1) based on technical aspects that include climate suitability and growing requirements, soil type and application of cultivation techniques, jernang farming is feasible: (2) The results of the review of the financial aspects, the jernang cultivation business in Pase Sentosa Village, Simpang Keuramat District, North Aceh Regency is declared feasible as seen from the NPV value of Rp682.566.400,81. Net B/C of 3,90, IRR of 20,01%, price BEP of Rp 17,264 and production BEP of 31,593 Kg. (3) After analyzing the sensitivity where the price decreased by 10% and resulted in an NPV value of Rp 548.494.945,52. Net B/C Ratio of 3,33, IRR of 18,01%, price BEP of Rp 17,264 and production BEP of 35.103 Kg. Keywords: Jernang Cultivation, Development Prospects
