Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan spiritual dengan kecemasan kematian pada pasien gagal ginjal kronis yang menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit wilayah Kota Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi Spearman Rank untuk mengetahui arah dan kekuatan hubungan antara kedua variabel. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung kepada subjek penelitian. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 156 pasien gagal ginjal kronis yang ditentukan dengan metode sampling insidental pada dua rumah sakit di Kota Lhokseumawe yang memiliki fasilitas hemodialisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima dengan nilai korelasi (r = –0,602) dan (p = 0,000), artinya terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kecerdasan spiritual dan kecemasan kematian pada pasien gagal ginjal kronis. Semakin tinggi kecerdasan spiritual pasien, maka semakin rendah kecemasan kematian yang dialaminya. Berdasarkan analisis per aspek, aspek yang memiliki hubungan paling tinggi dengan kecemasan kematian adalah kesadaran tinggi, sedangkan aspek yang paling rendah adalah kecenderungan untuk mencari jawaban mendasar. Kata kunci: Kecerdasan spiritual, Kecemasan kematian, pasien gagal ginjal kronik. v ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and death anxiety in patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing treatment at hospitals in the Lhokseumawe City area. This research employed a quantitative method with Spearman Rank correlation analysis to identify the direction and strength of the relationship between the two variables. Data were collected through questionnaires administered directly to the research subjects. The sample consisted of 156 patients with chronic kidney failure, selected using a incidental sampling technique from two hospitals in Lhokseumawe City that provide hemodialysis services. The results indicated that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, with a correlation value of r = –0.602 and p = 0.000, suggesting a significant negative relationship between spiritual intelligence and death anxiety among chronic kidney failure patients. This finding implies that the higher the patients’ spiritual intelligence, the lower their death anxiety. Based on aspect analysis, the highest correlation with death anxiety was found in the high awareness aspect, while the lowest correlation was in the tendency to seek fundamental answers aspect.
