Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPLEX PROPORTIONAL ASSESSMENT (COPRAS) METHOD IN DETERMINING THE RECEIPT OF BAZNAS SCHOLARSHIP AT MALIKUSSALEH UNIVERSITY BASED ON WEB ABSTRACT BAZNAS Scholarship is an educational assistance aimed at outstanding students who are economically disadvantaged. The selection process for scholarship recipients at Malikussaleh University was previously carried out manually, which has the potential to cause inaccuracy in targeting. This study aims to build a web-based decision support system using the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method to improve accuracy and efficiency in determining BAZNAS scholarship recipients. The COPRAS method was chosen because of its ability to manage criteria with different weights and assess alternatives proportionally, both against profitable and disadvantageous criteria. This system is designed using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database, and through the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. The results of the study showed that the developed system was able to process data on prospective BAZNAS scholarship recipients based on five main criteria, namely GPA (Cumulative Achievement Index), Parental Income, Ownership of SKTM (Certificate of Inability), Student Achievement, and Status of Not Receiving Scholarships from Any Institution. The system successfully provided objective recommendations for scholarship recipients based on utility value calculations using the COPRAS method. Based on the analysis results, there are 3 people who are recommended as BAZNAS scholarship recipients in 2023 namely Ela Nabila with a utility value of 100%, Megah Bensuniara with a utility value of 98.943%, and Shabrina Hanifa with a utility value of 93.6653%. The implementation of this system is expected to help the student affairs of Malikussaleh University in making the right and fair decisions regarding the distribution of BAZNAS scholarships effectively and efficiently.
