Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the Role of Agricultural Extension Workers in the Success of the Sustainable Food Yard Program in Syamtalira Aron District, North Aceh Regency. The Sustainable Food Yard Program (P2L) is one of the national strategies in realizing household-based food security through optimal and sustainable utilization of yard land. This study aims to determine the role of agricultural extension workers in the success of the sustainable food yard program in Syamtalira Aron District, North Aceh Regency. The sampling method was carried out using simple random sampling from a total of 80 populations of women farmer groups. The number of samples taken was 50% so that the number of respondents to be taken was 40 respondents. The type of data used in this study uses primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method measured using a Likert scale. The results of the study showed that overall the Role of Agricultural Extension Workers in the Success of the Sustainable Food Yard Program with an average category of very important, sequentially the largest role of extension workers is as an educator with an index value of 86.5%, as a facilitator with an index value of 86.5%, as a mentor with an index value of 86.4%, as a communicator with an index value of 85.8%, as an organizer with an index value of 85%..
