Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency in June 2024. This study aims to determine : (1) what factors affect the amount of rice production of wetland rice farmers. (2) already the efficiency of each existing rice production factor seen from the allocative side. Respondents set as many as 50 farmers. The type of data collected in the form of primary and secondary data. To answer the first objective the data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglas multiple regression analysis, while to answer the second objective the data were analyzed using allocative efficiency analysis. The results showed that (1) Factors affecting the production of paddy rice analyzed using multiple linear regression CobbDouglas obtained the following model : Ln Y = Ln 4,521 + 0,634 Ln X1 + 0,126 Ln X2 + 0,330 Ln X3 + 0,280 Ln X4. From the results of the analysis it is known that the Coefficient Determination (R2) is 93,6%, which means that 93,6% of the variable production of paddy fields in Muara Batu District is explained by the variable land area (X1), seeds (X2), labor (X3), fertilizer (X4), and the remaining 6,4% is explained by other variables. The results of the F test show the land area (X1), seeds (X2), labor (X3), fertilizer (X4) simultaneously have a significant effect on the production of paddy rice (Y). The results of the t test showed that the variables of the land area, labor, and fertilizer had a significant effect on the amount of production of paddy rice, while the variable seed had an insignificant effect on the amount of production of paddy rice. The results of the analysis of allocative efficiency of variable land area, seeds, labor, and fertilizer have not been allocatively efficient so it is necessary to increase the amount in order to be efficient in the production of paddy rice in Muara Batu District.
