Abstract

This research aims to (1) examine production in shallot farming between MT1 and MT2 in Simpang Tiga sub-district, Pidie district (2) determine the difference in income earned by farmers in shallot farming between MT1 and MT2 in Simpang Tiga sub-district, Pidie district and (3) ) to determine the level of feasibility in shallot farming between MT1 and MT2 in Simpang Tiga sub-district, Pidie district. This research was carried out from May to June 2023. Primary data was obtained from 31 respondents on the same person between MT1 and MT2. Farmer samples were taken using a simple random sampling method. The data collection techniques used in this research are observations, questionnaires and interviews, the type of data in this research is quantitative data. Data sources are primary and secondary data. The results of the research show that the average shallot production at MTI is 17.944,51 Kg while the average shallot production at MT2 is 15.720,46. Kg, The income earned by farmers from shallot farming in Simpang Tiga District in MT1 is Rp. 232.263.421,- while in MT2 the income is Rp. 239.433.712,-. From the results of the T-test, a Sig of 0.01 < 0,05 was obtained, meaning that there was difference in the income of MT 1 and MT 2. which means that there is significant difference between the average MT 1 income and MT2 income, The calculated t value is 0,279. From the feasibility test results, the R/C ratio value for shallot farming in Simpang Tiga District in MT1 is 1.69. Meanwhile in MT2 the R/C ratio is 2.72. BEP for production on MT1 is 2.173,73 Kg, while BEP for production on MT2 is .854,02 Kg. BEP for receipts on MT1 is IDR 44.463.353,- while BEP for receipts on MT2 is IDR 44.463.353,-. For BEP the price on MT1 is IDR 7.644,63/Kg while the BEP price on MT2 is IDR 8.838,08/Kg
