Abstract

Kata kunci: Penerimaan Diri,Kualitas Hidup,Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2vi ABSRACK This study aims to examine the relationship between self-acceptance and quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that not only has physical but also psychological impacts on sufferers, such as stress and depression. Selfacceptance, which includes self-awareness, self-esteem, and emotional balance, is considered to have an important role in improving quality of life. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 99 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed that the hypothesis showed H0 was rejected with a correlation of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). Which means that there is a relationship between self-acceptance and quality of life in DM patients. which means that the higher the self-acceptance, the higher the quality of life of DM patients. vice versa, the lower the self-acceptance of DM patients, the lower the quality of life of DM patients. Keywords: Self-Acceptance, Quality of Life, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
