Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the value of character education contained in the text of meurukn in North Aceh. This type of research is qualitative using a descriptive approach. The data of this research are excerpts from the meurukôn text that contain the value of character education. The source of the data in this study is the meurukôn text that has been obtained from Sheikh Tgk H. Harun. In the process of collecting data, the author uses library techniques, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of the research obtained are the values of character education from the meurukôn text in North Aceh opening 79 data. The data is divided into several classifications, namely 1) religious values as many as thirty-one data; 2) honest value of one data; 3) the tolerance value is not found; and 4) discipline scores of six data; 5) the value of hard work as much as one data; 6) creative value not found; 7) independent value of one data; and 8) four data points for democratic values; 9) curiosity value is not found; 10) the value of the national spirit is not found; 11) the value of love for the homeland as much as one data; and 12) the value of appreciating achievement is not found; 13) friendly or communicative value of three data; 14) the value of peace-loving is seven data; 15) the value of reading fondness is eight data; and 17) the value of environmental care as much as one data; 16) data on the value of social care as much as fourteen; and 18) the value of responsibility is one data.
