Abstract
ABSTRACT Indonesia is the country that owns the largest mangrove forest in the world, but information on the existence of its mangrove forest is still too complete, especially in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province, so research is carried out on the analysis of mangrove vegetation in the coastal area of Cut Mamplam Village, Muara Dua District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province. It aims to determine the diversity (biodiversity) and the structure of the mangrove vegetation. The study was conducted in September 2021 with 3 observation stations, where data collection was carried out by drawing a 40 m line transect perpendicular to the coastline and the condition of the mangrove vegetation structure was analyzed based on non-metric multidimensional scaling and cluster analysis using the Primer v7 program. The results showed that mangrove diversity consisted of 5 species belonging to 3 families, the highest density and mangrove INP were found in Avicennia alba species in all categories (616.67 ind/ha; 833.33 ind/ha; 66666.67 ind/ha and 245.44%; 143.60%; 267.90%), the basal area ranges from 35.40280.61 m2/ha, the mangrove vegetation stands are classified into 2 groups with species groups and 40% between observations. In addition, the water quality parameters are still below the established quality standards (temperature 31.23- 31.71°C, pH 7.21-7.45, salinity 28.89-29.78‰ and DO 6.96-7.14 mg/l).
