Abstract

ABSTRACT Keywords: Mustard greens production, Organic, Leaf chlorophyll, Wick system, Root length. Mustard greens Brassica juncea (L.). AB mix nutrients and liquid organic fertilizer from egg shells adduction using a hydroponic system. This study aims to determine the concentration between the combination of AB mix nutrients and chicken eggshell liquid organic fertilizer that is effective on the growth and yield of caisim plants with hydroponic system. The research method used a two-factor group randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor was AB mix with 3 levels of 40 ml, 50 ml, and 60 ml. The second factor was chicken eggshell liquid organic fertilizer with 4 levels of 0 ml, 600 ml, 700 ml, 800 ml. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the single AB mix nutrition factor had a very significant effect on the variables of plant wet weight, leaf area, leaf chlorophyll, plant fresh weight, root volume, and root fresh weight. The single application of liquid organic fertilizer chicken eggshell has a very significant effect on the variables of plant wet weight, root volume, root length, leaf area, and number of leaves. There is interaction between AB mix nutrition and chicken eggshell liquid organic fertilizer on leaf chlorophyll. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. The provision of AB mix nutrition affects the growth and yield of caisim plants. The best results were found in the treatment of AB mix 60 ml. 2. Giving eggshell liquid organic fertilizer affects the growth and yield of caisim plants. The best results were shown in the P3 800 ml liquid organic fertilizer treatment. 3. The results of the analysis of variance showed that there interaction between AB mix nutrition and chicken eggshell liquid organic fertilizer.
