Abstract

ABSTRACT Soybean (Glycine max[L]Merril) is a legume plant that is a source of vegetable protein that is good for health. This plant contains many nutrients, protein, fat, carbohydrates, water content, amino acids, and other nutritional content. This study aims to determine the effect of several varieties and the application of rhizobium biofertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean plants. the research was conducted in Gampong Meunasah Meucat Nisam District and North Aceh, Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agricultre, Malikussaleh University Regency, conducted from May to July 2024. Using a factorial group randomized design method with three replications. The treatments tested consisted of 2 factors, namely soybean varieties consisting of four levels and the rhizobium biofertilizer factor consisting of three levels. the variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf chlorophyll, flowering age, number of productive branches, root length, number of root nodules, number of filled pods, dry seed weight per plant, dry seed hundred weight per plant, ton/ha production. The results showed that the variety had an effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, flowering age, number of productive branches, root length, number of filled pods, dry seed weight per plant, weight of 100 dry seeds per plant, ton/ha production. the best rhizobium biofertilizer in R2 (20 g / planting hole) affects plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, flowering age, number of productive branches, root length, root nodules, dry seed weight per plant, weight of 100 dry seeds per plant, ton/ha production Keywords: legume Rhizobium, growth
