Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor kesulitan belajar kimia siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen angket yang terdiri angket faktor internal dan angket faktor eksternal dengan total 40 pernyataan. (1) Faktor internal penyebab kesulitan belajar meliputi kesehatan, perhatian/fokus, intelegensi, minat dan motivasi. Sedangkan (2) faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar meliputi didikan orang tua, suasana rumah, metode mengajar guru, fasilitas, standar pelajaran, dan media. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar pada setiap aspek. (1) Faktor internal penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa yang paling mempengaruhi yaitu pada faktor minat dan motivasi. Sedangkan (2) faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa yang paling mempengaruhi yaitu pada faktor fasilitas dan media. Analisis faktor kesulitan belajar siswa ini dapat digunakan guru sebagai acuan untuk menangani kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa dalam belajar kimia sehingga dapat menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Kata Kunci : Kimia, Kesulitan Belajar ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the factors of students' learning difficulties in chemistry at SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. Samples were taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument consisting of an internal factor questionnaire and an external factor questionnaire with a total of 40 statements. (1) Internal factors causing learning difficulties include health, attention/focus, intelligence, interest and motivation. While (2) external factors causing learning difficulties include parental education, home atmosphere, teacher teaching methods, facilities, lesson standards, and media. The results of the study indicate that students experience learning difficulties in every aspect. (1) The internal factors causing students' learning difficulties that have the most influence are the interest and motivation factors. While (2) the external factors causing students' learning difficulties that have the most influence are the facilities and media factors. This analysis of students' learning difficulty factors can be used by teachers as a reference to deal with the difficulties faced by students in learning chemistry so that they can create a better learning process.
