Abstract
Lettuce is one of the most popular types of vegetables in Indonesia. Lettuce plants like fertile soil. The short lettuce roots cause lettuce requires a planting medium with a loose structure so that the roots develop well and can penetrate the soil easily. Loose planting media can be obtained by adding organic materials such as manure, and giving kirinyuh green manure. Green manure is also an alternative to help increase soil nutrients. This experiments were appliet at the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency from February to March 2022. The Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial was performed in this research with 2 factors obseved. The first factor is the planting medium which consists of 3 levels, namely M0 = soil, M1 = soil + manure (3:1), M2 = soil + husk charcoal (3:1). Factor 2 is the dose of green manure Chromolaena odorata (K) with 4 levels, namely: K0 = Control (0g/polybag), K1 = 50 g/polybag (10 tons/ha), K2 = 100 g/polybag (20 tons/ha) , K3 = 150 g/polybag (30 tons/ha). Thus the number of treatments in this study were: 3 x 4 = 12 treatment combinations, each combination had 3 replications, the number of experiments used was :12 x 3 = 36 experimental units. The results showed that the use of planting media had a significant effect on the growth and yield of lettuce in polybags, the use of kirinyuh green manure had an effect on the growth and yield of lettuce, a dose of 100 g/polybag gave the best. results compared to other doses. different lettuce. media and dose of kirinyuh green manure on lettuce growth and production.
