Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in the District KutamBaru Langkat Regency Marike Village and Sulkam Village. Samples were taken from the 2 villages as many as 30 farmers from Marike Village and 20 farmers from Sulkam Village. This study aims to describe the general description of rubber marketing channels in KutamBaru District of Langkat Regency, analyze the size of the marketing margin, and the level of efficiency of rubber marketing in KutamBaru District of Langkat Regency. The method used in data collection using simple random sampling technique and marketing institutions using snowball sampling method. The results showed that there were two marketing channels including the first channel (farmers-collecting traders-large traders-rubber factories), and the second channel (farmers-large traders-rubber factories). The results of the analysis of the most efficient marketing margin based on the amount of margin is channel II which is Rp.3,000 / Kg. and The value of farmer's share received by the largest farmer is in channel II of 75.00%.
