Abstract
ABSTRAK NIMAS SRI REJEKI: Analisis Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Siswa Kelas VII Pada Materi Suhu dan Kalor Ditinjau Dari Lingkungan Belajar. Program Sudi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh, 2025 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan HOTS siswa kelas VII pada materi suhu dan kalor ditinjau dari lingkungan belajar. Kemampuan HOTS yang diukur meliputi tiga aspek: analisis (C4), evaluasi (C5), dan kreasi (C6). Penelitian ini juga membahas bagaimana lingkungan belajar, yaitu lingkungan belajar khusus dan umum mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap materi suhu dan kalor. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui tes tertulis, wawancara, dan observasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 60 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe, terdiri dari 30 siswa dari lingkungan belajar khusus dan 30 siswa dari lingkungan belajar umum. Instrumen tes berupa 9 soal berbasis HOTS yang sudah diuji validitasnya. Teknik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan lingkungan belajar khusus memiliki kemampuan HOTS lebih baik dibandingkan siswa dengan lingkungan belajar umum. Siswa di lingkungan belajar khusus mendapatkan presentase berdasarkan indikator analisis (C4) 34,80%, 19,60% untuk evaluasi (C5), dan 45,60% untuk kreasi (C6). Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi perbedaan ini adalah perhatian guru dan pemberian les tambahan di lingkungan belajar khusus. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar sekolah memberi dukungan lebih bagi siswa di lingkungan belajar umum, seperti dengan menyediakan les tambahan dan pelatihan bagi guru untuk mrmbantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS mereka. Physics Education Study FKIP Malikussaleh University, 2025 This study aims to analyze the HOTS ability of grade VII students on temperature and heat subjects reviewed from the learning environment. The HOTS abilities measured include three aspects: analysis (C4), evaluation (C5), and creation (C6). This study also discusses how the learning environment, namely the special and general learning environments, affects students' understanding of temperature and heat subjects. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through written tests, interviews, and observations. The subjects of the study were 60 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe, consisting of 30 students from the special learning environment and 30 students from the general learning environment. The test instrument was in the form of 9 HOTS-based questions that had been tested for validity. Data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that students with special learning environments had better HOTS abilities than students with general learning environments. Students in special learning environments received a percentage based on the analysis indicator (C4) of 34.80%, 19.60% for evaluation (C5), and 45.60% for creation (C6). The main factors influencing this difference were teacher attention and the provision of additional tutoring in special learning environments. Therefore, it is recommended that schools provide more support for students in general learning environments, such as by providing additional tutoring and training for teachers to help students improve their HOTS abilities.
