Abstract

ABSTRACT Jafaruddin, The Influence of Socio-Economic Factors on the Profit of the Melinjo Chips Household Industry. Supervised by Dr. Ir. Mawardati, M.Sc. and Dr. Nazaina SE M.Sc Ak, CA. This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic factors including entrepreneur education, length of business, total workforce, business capital, product quality, on the profit of the melinjo chip household industry in Pidie Regency. In addition, it also aims that the results of data analysis and discussion, several conclusions in this study are: simultaneously socio-economic factors (education, length of business, workforce, capital and product quality) have a very significant effect on the profit of the melinjo chip household industry in Pidie Regency. This research was conducted in Mutiara District and Mutiara Timur District, Pidie Regency on the consideration that this area is one of the centers of melinjo chip production in Pidie Regency. The object of this study is melinjo chip craftsmen in Mutiara District and Mutiara Timur District. The scope of this study is limited to the influence of socio- economic factors on the profits of the emping melinjo home industry. The research method in this thesis is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The analysis model used is multiple linear regression with the help of computer software (software) SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). Multiple linear analysis is useful in estimating the value of dependent variables using more than one independent variable. The data used are Primary data and Secondary Data. Primary data was obtained from the results of a questionnaire on Emping Melinjo craftsmen. Secondary data was obtained by recording and quoting directly from agencies or institutions related to this study. Secondary data comes from the Trade Service, Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives of Pidie Regency, the Agriculture and Food Service and the Pidie Regency Central Statistics Agency Office. The results of this study are expected to the Government to provide Education or Training to Emping Melinjo craftsmen so that product quality improves. Keywords: Socio-Economic, Profit, Household
