Abstract

Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) is a vegetable commodity that is not widely recognized by the public. This plant has many health benefits so it has the potential to be cultivated. One of the efforts to produce optimal production requires fertilization, namely by applying organic fertilizers such as cow manure and lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer. This research is entitled the effect of applying cow manure and lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of green okra plants. This research was conducted in West Reuleut, Muara Batu District, North Aceh and Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Malikussaleh, from July to September 2024. This study used a group randomized design method with three replications. The first factor is cow manure (K) consisting of 0 ton/ha (K0), 20 ton/ha (K1), and 30 ton/ha (K2). The second factor is lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 0 ml/L (L0), 150 ml/L (L1) and 300 ml/L (L2). The results showed that cow manure treatment affected plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf chlorophyll, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight per plant and production. The best treatment is the application of cow manure at a dose of 30 tons/ha (K2). Lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer affects plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf chlorophyll, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight per plant and production. The best treatment is the application of lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer with a concentration of 300ml/L. There is no interaction in the application of cow manure and lamtoro liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of green okra plants. Keywords: Dosage, Cow Manure, Liquid Organic Fertilizer
