Abstract

ABSTRACT Pre-nursery phase oil palm nurseries often encounter obstacles in less than optimal growth. This research aims to determine the effect of giving arbuscular mycorrhiza and NPK fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the prenursery. Implementation of research in Ulee Reuleung Village, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency and the Agroecotechnology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture Malikussaleh University. Held from July to October 2024. This research used a two-factor Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The first factor is the dose of arbuscular mycorrhiza which consists of 3 levels, namely 0 g/polybag (M0), 6 g/polybag (M1) and 12 g/polybag (M2). The second factor is the NPK fertilizer dose consisting of 3 levels, namely 0 g/polybag (N0), 3 g/polybag (N1), and 5 g/polybag (N2). The results showed that application of arbuscular mycorrhiza had an influence on the variables of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf chlorophyll, root length, root volume, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight. The best treatment in this study was 12 g/polybag. The application of NPK has an influence on the variables of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf chlorophyll, root length, root volume, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight. The best treatment in this study was 5 g/polybag. There was an interaction between the arbuscular mycorrhiza treatment and NPK fertilizer, namely in the variables of plant height and stem diameter. The best treatment combination is 6 g/polybag + 3 g/polybag. Keywords: nursery, Dumpy, Biofertilizer, Inorganic Fertilizer
