Abstract
ABSTRACT Cocoa is one of the plantation commodities that plays an important role for the growth of the Indonesian economy. Aceh province is one of the regions with high cocoa producers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer and planting media and the interaction of both on the breeding of cocoa plants. This research was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University. This research was conducted for 2 months, from September-November 2024. Methods used in this study was a two factors. The first factor was urine liquid organic fertilizer (P) consisted of 4 levels, namely: PO = 0 ml/L, P1 = 20 ml/l, P2 = 40 ml/L and P3= 60 ml/L. The second factor was planting media (M) consisted of : M1 = top soil, M2 = soil + cow manure (1:1), and M3 = soil + cocopeat (1:1). The results indicated that there was interaction between the use urine liquid organic fertilizer and planting media can increase the growth of cocoa seedlings on the variable stem diameter age 3 MST. The best treatment is goat urine liquid organic fertilizer 20 ml/L and top soil media. Treatment of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer can increase the growth of cocoa seedlings on the variable chlorophyll content of leaves age 5 MST. The best treatment is goat urine liquid organic fertilizer 40 ml/L. The treatment of planting media can increase the growth of cocoa seedlings in the variable of plant height age 7 MST, number of leaves age 5 MST, chlorophyll content of leaves age 5 and 7 MST. The best treatment was top soil + cow manure 1:1. Keywords: Em4, NPK, Brown Sugar
