Abstract

ABSTRACT Pia MD cake is a typical souvenir cake from Sabang City which is made from wheat flour, butter, sugar, salt, eggs, edible oil, green beans and chocolate which was established in 2014 in Gampong Jaboi, Sukamakmur District, Sabang City. They are still dependent on raw materials from outside the city, UMKM do not have outlets, the bookkeeping system is unclear, sales depend on tourists, the shelf life of products only lasts one week, and the increasing number of competitors is an obstacle experienced by UMKM owners. This research aims to examine the application of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) in the development of Kue Pia MD UMKM in Gampong Jaboi, Sukamakmur District, Sabang City. The data analysis method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method using a business model, namely the Business Model Canvas. The research results show that UMKM have implemented several elements such as existing Key Partnerships and working with partners, Key Resources utilizing key resources, Key Activities such as production processes and promotions well, Cost Structure has included fixed costs and variable costs, Value Proposition chooses premium raw materials, attractive packaging, and delivery orders, channels for direct and indirect marketing. Customer Relationship as a form of maintaining product quality, good service and accepting criticism and suggestions, Customer Segments products can be enjoyed by all ages and genders, and Revenue Streams can be used as a source of income for business owners. And what still needs improvement and additions include existing Key Partnerships and collaboration with partners, Key Resources utilizing key resources, Key Activities such as the production process and carrying out promotions well, Cost Structure has included fixed costs and variable costs, Value Proposition chooses premium raw materials, attractive packaging, and delivery orders, channels for direct and indirect marketing. And what still needs to be done is to improve and develop the Key Partnership element, namely by developing marketing so that it can be spread widely, and Kue Pia MD UMKM owners need to make developments such as opening a shop using the Kue Pia MD brand name in a more strategic location, such as in the city center. to make it easier for consumers to reach the product and the name Cake Pia MD can be better known to consumers.
