Abstract

ABSTRAK Cabai merah memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan kebutuhan setiap tahunnya terus meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya penduduk. Produktivitas cabai di Indonesia tidak stabil. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan cabai merah di Indonesia belum mencukupi. Tidak stabilnya produksi cabai disebabkan oleh teknik bercocok tanam yang kurang tepat seperti penggunaan pupuk anorganik berlebihan yang menyebabkan rusaknya sifat fisika, kimia, dan biologi tanah. Penggunaan pupuk organik pada lahan budidaya cabai merah dapat memperbaiki sifat-sifat tanah, meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pemberian pupuk guano dan pupuk organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai merah. Dilaksanakan di Desa Ulee Reuleng Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara dari bulan Juni sampai September 2024, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor yaitu : pemberian Pupuk Guano (G) 3 taraf G0 = (0 ton/ha), G1 = (10 ton/ha), G2 = (15 ton/ha), dan pemberian pupuk organik cair Nasa (P) 3 taraf P0 = (0 ml/liter air), P1 = (10 ml/liter air), P2 = (20 ml/liter air). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk guano dan pupuk organik cair Nasa berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah pertanaman, berat buah pertanaman, diameter buah dan berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang, umur berbunga, umur panen, dan panjang buah. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pemberian pupuk guano dan pupuk organic cair Nasa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah. Kata kunci : unsur hara, produktivitas, umur berbunga, dosis pupuk ABSTRACK The red chili pepper has high economic value, and its demand continues to increase every year along with the growing population. The productivity of chili peppers in Indonesia is unstable. This indicates that the demand for red chili peppers in Indonesia has not been met. The instability in chili production is caused by improper farming techniques, such as the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers, which leads to the degradation of the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil. The use of organic fertilizers on chili pepper cultivation land can improve soil properties, enhance plant growth, and increase chili yields. The aim of this research is to test the effects of guano fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red chili peppers. It was conducted in Ulee Reuleng Village, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency, from June to September 2024, It used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors, namely: the application of Guano Fertilizer (G) with 3 levels: G0 = (0 tons/ha), G1 = (10 tons/ha), G2 = (15 tons/ha), and the application of Nasa Liquid Organic Fertilizer (P) with 3 levels: P0 = (0 ml/liter of water), P1 = (10 ml/liter of water), P2 = (20 ml/liter of water). The results of the study showed that the application of guano fertilizer and Nasa liquid organic fertilizer had a highly significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit diameter. They also had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, flowering age, harvesting age, and fruit length. There was no interaction between the application of guano fertilizer and Nasa liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red chili peppers.
