Abstract

ABSTRACT In Indonesia, jernang rattan is known by various names, such as in West Sumatra rattan janang, in Kalimantan, jernang uhan, and in Banten, getih rhino. The processing process can increase the use of agricultural commodities. The raw material processing industry is an instrument that provides added value for agricultural commodities. However, in running the jernang agroindustry, there are several problems, namely the need for jernang raw materials is very limited, this is because there are still few who cultivate jernang, the age of harvest is not enough to reduce the quality of jernang resin, and the processing is still traditional so that it reduces the quality of production in processing jernang. Research Objectives What is the income of jernang processing that will be obtained by the owner of the jernang agro-industry in Seumirah Village, North Aceh Regency, Nisam Antara District? This research was conducted in Nisam Antara District, North Aceh Regency. The location determination was chosen intentionally (purposive sampling) with consideration, because the District of Nisam Antara. Processing jernang fruit into jernang powder can also increase the added value of the economy, namely the price is relatively high and stable compared to when the jernang was still unprocessed, from buying jernang fruit Rp. 400,000/kg to Rp. 1,800,000/kg of jernang powder. The added value obtained in the jernang agroindustry business is Rp. 307,000/kg or 42.64% with the entrepreneur's profit of Rp. 302,000/kg or 41.94%. Keywords: Jernang resin, profit, added value.
