Abstract

ABSTRACT Mung bean plants are a source of plant food rich in protein. Increasing the growth and yield of mung bean plants can be done by providing nutrients through fertilizers. The fertilizers used can be organic or inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to examine the effects of NPK fertilizers and Liquid Organic Fertilizer from rice washing water on the growth and yield of mung bean plants. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden and Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University from June to August 2024. The experiment was conducted using a Two-Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor is the provision of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer (N). The second factor is the provision of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from rice washing water (P). The results showed that the provision of NPK fertilizer gave the best results for effective root nodules, root nodules are ineffective, fresh weight of pods and number of seeds/plant. The provision of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from rice washing water gave the best results for stem diameter at the age of 4 Week After Planting (WAP) and 6 (WAP), effective root nodules, root nodules are ineffective and dry weight of pods. The interaction between the provision of NPK fertilizer and Liquid Organic Fertilizer from rice washing water gave the best results for effective root nodules, ineffective root nodules and the number of pods/plant. Further research is needed on the application of NPK fertilizer and Liquid Organic Fertilizer rice washing water on the growth and yield of mung bean plants. Keywords: Combination, growth, and nutritional management
