Abstract

ABSTRACT IKA DWI SINTYA SARAGIH: Implementation of the Independent Curriculum on Procedure Text Writing Material with the Class X Project Based Learning Model at SMK Negeri 1 Nisam. Malikussaleh University FKIP Indonesian Language Education study program, 2024. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the Procedure Text Writing Lesson using the Project Based Learning model for Class 10th at SMK Negeri 1 Nisam. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques in this study applies observation and interview methods. The data sources in this study are the teaching modules, teachers, students, observation results, and interviews. The data in this study is how the teacher designs learning and implements learning in writing procedural texts in the 10th grade that involves the teacher, students, and learning evaluation when applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research results show that the learning implementation carried out by the teacher is in accordance with the teaching module created, but at the essential question stage there was a mismatch in syntax in the introductory activities on the first day. The research findings also identified four obstacles faced by the teacher, namely related to time allocation, lack of student motivation, lack of language proficiency, and students' limitations in managing vocabulary. The experiences and obstacles faced by teachers were also properly addressed. Keywords: Independent Curriculum, Project Based Learning, Procedure Text
