Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) derived from banana peels and chicken manure on the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). The experiment employed a two-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was the dosage of banana peel liquid organic fertilizer, consisting of P0 (0 ml/liter), P1 (50 ml/liter), and P2 (100 ml/liter). The second factor was the dosage of chicken manure, consisting of K1 (50 g/polybag), K2 (100 g/polybag), and K3 (150 g/polybag). The results showed that the application of banana peel liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight per plant, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, or root length. Similarly, the application of chicken manure did not significantly affect plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight per plant, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, or root length. However, the interaction between banana peel liquid organic fertilizer and chicken manure significantly affected the number of leaves at 14 days after planting (DAP). The combination of 0 mL/Liter banana peel liquid organic fertilizer and 150 g/polybag chicken manure was the best treatment. Keywords: Ameliorant, Nutrients , Organic Material, Soil Fertility
