Abstract

ABSTRAK Siswa SMK dituntut mampu mengambil keputusan karier secara tepat sebagai bagian dari tugas perkembangan dan persiapan memasuki dunia kerja. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang mengalami keraguan dalam mengenali potensi diri, memperoleh informasi karier, menetapkan tujuan, serta merencanakan karier di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan parental career related behavior dengan career decision making self-efficacy pada siswa SMK Kota Lhokseumawe. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang melibatkan 367 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Skala Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy dan Skala Parental Career Related Behavior, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parental career related behavior memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan career decision making self-efficacy. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa berkontribusi terhadap keyakinan siswa dalam mengambil keputusan karier serta menjadi dasar bagi sekolah dan orang tua dalam memperkuat dukungan terhadap perkembangan karier remaja. Kata kunci: efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir, perilaku orang tua terkait karir, siswa sekolah menengah kejuruanvi ABSTRACT Vocational high school students are required to be able to make appropriate career decisions as part of their developmental tasks and preparation for entering the workforce. However, many students still experience doubts in recognizing their potential, obtaining career information, setting goals, and planning their future careers. This study aims to examine the relationship between parental careerrelated behavior and career decision-making self-efficacy in vocational high school students in Lhokseumawe City. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design involving 367 students selected using quota sampling techniques. Data were collected using the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale and the Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that parental career-related behavior has a significant relationship with career decision-making self-efficacy. These findings indicate that it contributes to students' confidence in making career decisions and serves as a basis for schools and parents in strengthening support for adolescent career development.
