Abstract

ABSTRACT INTAN MAHARANI, Analysis of food security in North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. Supervised by JAMILAH and MUHAMMAD AUTHAR ND. Food security is a multidimensional issue crucial for the sustainability of regional development and community welfare. Food security consists of three main pillars: food availability, food access, and food utilization. This study aims to analyze food availability, food access, food utilization, and the composite food security index (IKP) in 27 sub-districts in North Aceh Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis method by adjusting indicators related to food security, namely food production, the number of poor people, the number of households without access to electricity, the infant mortality rate, and the number of infants with malnutrition in 2023. Based on the analysis, this study shows that the condition of food security based on the aspect of food availability is food secure with a composite index of 0.22. The condition of food security based on the aspect of food access in North Aceh Regency is moderately food secure with a composite index value of 0.47. Meanwhile, for food security based on food utilization, North Aceh Regency is relatively very food secure, with a composite index value of 0.12. The food security condition of North Aceh Regency in 2023, based on a combined index of three aspects: food availability, access, and utilization, is relatively food secure, with a composite index value of 0.27 Keyword:Food, Food Security, Food Availability, Food Access, Food Utilization, Composite Index
