Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Gender Empowerment Index (GEM), Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), and Population on Economic Growth in North Sumatra. This study uses time series data from 2005 to 2024 using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that the GEM has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in North Sumatra. The GEM has no significant effect on economic growth in North Sumatra, and the population has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in North Sumatra. Simultaneously, the Gender Empowerment Index (IDG), Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), and Population Number have a significant positive effect on Economic Growth in North Sumatra.
